RTC Graduation
On 22 November 1963, I was in Company 427, at Great Lakes..Graduation Ceremony was due to start at 1300 Cst.We had filed in the huge drill hall at 1230, and awaited the program to start. At almost 1400, they told us the reason for the delay. Our Commander in Chief was pronounced dead at 1300, struck down by an assasin's bullet.
A day that i, and the almost 1500 people in that drill hall will never forget.
